Big Takeaway: OpenAI is in advanced talks to sell employee shares at a $86 billion valuation, nearly tripling from $29 billion in April.
The potential deal would make it one of the most highly valued private companies globally. It could even be valued at as much as $90 billion.
The valuation implies a multiple of over 65 times OpenAI's projected $1.3 billion revenue this year. 🤯
Rival AI firm Anthropic is also reportedly raising up to $30 billion, 150 times current revenue.
